It is WrestleMania weekend….figure while everyone is settling into their watch parties no better way to prepare than by reading my predictions for this fun weekend of International Wrestling Cartel (IWC) action – both Friday night in Wheeling for High Stakes and Saturday night in Meadville for Night of the Superstars.

Friday night – IWC presents High Stakes at the Wheeling Island Casino, Wheeling, WV

  • Bulk Nasty and Jami Jameson and Marshall the Bull vs The Sexy Talented Dudes – Bulk Nasty has proven not to be a good tag team partner, for reference check out his match at Hooven Ground – if I’m Jami and Marshall I’d be better off telling Bulk to sit this one out so they’d have a chance to win this one.
  • PREDICTION:  Sexy Talented Dudes via pinfall, Chest Flexor pinning Marshall as Bulk leaves Marshall and Jami to fend for themselves because he is mean.
  • Britt Baker vs Katie Arquette – this one for the IWC Women’s title, and a rematch from Hooven Ground that saw Katie lose her debut.  She’s got more training under her belt and Calvin Couture in her corner and she’s slowly growing on me so Calvin buddy watch out cause I got the lust in my eyes.
  • PREDICTION:  Britt Baker via disqualification, interference by Calvin
  • Wardlow vs Gory – this one for the IWC Heavyweight title – Wardlow is unstoppable these days, Gory doesn’t back down from any challenge – this one will be fun.
  • PREDICTION:  Wardlow via pin, reversing one of them flippy moves that Gory does
  • Chris LeRusso vs Shane InYaFace – this one a rematch for the IWC Super Indy title, Shane put up a big effort last time up against LeRusso.  This one should be another hard fought battle, LeRusso, as always has something that Shane does not – and I’m not talking about manager BC Steele in his corner – LeRusso had his career kickstarted by none other than Diamond Joe – and with that pedigree it is hard to bet against him.
  • PREDICTION:  LeRusso via submission
  • Jack Pollock vs Andrew Palace – this is going to be an all out grudge match and I look for them to brawl onto the casino floor.
  • PREDICTION:  Double countout as Palace powerbombs Pollock through a craps table.
  • Also scheduled to appear – 2016 IWC Rookie of the Year JaXon Argos, RC Dupree, Remy Lavey, Keith Haught, and former WWE superstars Ryback and Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat

Saturday Night – IWC presents Night of the Superstars

  • The Fraternity vs The Hardy’s – this one for the IWC tag team titles.  Much like Wardlow, the Fraternity have been nearly unstoppable….but the Hardy’s are on a quest to capture every tag team belt in space and time…have the Hardy’s finally met a tag team they are unable to beat?
  • PREDICTION:  The Hardy’s via pinfall, becoming new IWC tag team champs
  • Chris LeRusso vs John McChesney with Ricky Steamboat as the special guest referee – Big League John McChesney has a renewed hunger for Super Indy gold – and with The Dragon as guest referee this match will be called right down the middle.
  • PREDICTION:  LeRusso pins McChesney  – after the best babyface of all time Steamboat goes for that late in life heel turn that all wrestlers go through – and helps LeRusso get the victory
  • Ken Anderson vs RJ City – instead of wrestling, these guys are just going to cut promos on one another
  • PREDICTION:  no contest, they are seriously just going to take turns on the live mic until Justin Plummer gets tired of listening to them and threatens that if they don’t shut up he will give Jimmy Demarco a live mic – at which point they will leave the building because nobody wants that
  • Britt Baker vs Rachael Ellering – talk about a challenge – this may be Britt’s toughest match yet.  Ellering brings a lifetime of growing up in the business, is that enough to take out the Queen B?
  • PREDICTION:  Brittsburgh baby.
  • Team Storm (Jack Pollock/JaXon Argos/RC Dupree) vs Ryback and Andrew Palace – This is but is not a handicap match.  Mainly because one Ryback equals about 10 JaXon Argos’.
  • PREDICTION:  Palace and Ryback feed on Team Storm, Palace pinning Pollock for the win.
  • Wardlow vs Rocky Reynolds – full disclosure, I know nothing about Rocky Reynolds so I need to study up, not going to predict this match.

Additional notes:

  • Disloyal referee CJ Sensation is rumoured to be in the official rotation
  • Still tons of room on the cards so the long awaited dog collar match of Nick Lendl vs Big Dick Dave Kich may get booked
  • Dan Hooven and Santana Diamonds talk show segment – Sauna Talk – is on pace to premier – so long as the logistics of getting a sauna into a ring are figured out
  • Bulk Nasty’s match on Friday will be before intermission so he can hit the buffet before it closes at 10pm

As always I’ll end this wrap up with the obligatory plugs –

Thanks for reading, I’ll see you at the matches.
